AOD Sector 2010 Snapshot: Client Demand and Workforce Capacity

In October 2010 Matua Raki staff interviewed leaders of 30 addiction treatment services to gather a quick snapshot of the sector, in particular trends in client demand and workforce capacity from Criminal Justice sector referrals.

A wide variation in client demand and workforce capacity, both geographically and between types of services offered, was found.  Despite some significant challenges, addiction services are enthusiastic and committed to managing those challenges. Many have already implemented a wide range of innovative strategies and more are planned. For a copy of the AOD Sector 2010 Snapshot, please click here to download
