Smoking Cessation Project
|
Smoking during pregnancy is a source of considerable and serious morbidity and mortality for woman and babies in New Zealand. Given the serious consequences of smoking during pregnancy, pregnant women who smoke are a priority group for smoking cessation services across New Zealand. Smoking Cessation services are increasingly being required to support a greater number of smokers who are pregnant. Matua Raki will be providing training to the Cessation Workforce, building on their skills, experiences and prior training, to strengthen the effectiveness of cessation services for pregnant women. The training programme will be delivered from September through to end of November 2011 |
